Books with Houses on the Cover

The Hidden Houses of Books

Whenever there is a house on the cover of a book, I always want to go inside. I love the houses in novels as they always contain something exciting. Whether they’re old and someone has been murdered or they are villas and someone is hiding something from someone – they are always full of intrigue!

Books with Houses on the Cover

The Escape Ruth KellyFRANCE – The Escape – Ruth Kelly

Someone buys you a castle in France. You go, think it’s the start of something great. A new house! BUT…..

This house looks menacing and spooky against that blue cover…..chilling!

Murder Most Cold Victoria DowdFINLAND – Murder Most Cold – Victoria Dowd

A little house in Finland sounds lovely. Right in the Arctic. Imagine seeing the snow and the Northern Lights? What about a murder….what?

Seems a bit isolated when you see it here. Eerm maybe just visit this one in the novel.

A Haunting on the Hill Elizabeth HandENGLAND – A Haunting on Hill House – Elizabeth Hand

Who is brave enough to go back to Hill House?

Haha are you? Are you sure?

The Girls Left Behind Emily GunnisENGLAND – The  Girls Left Behind – Emily Gunnis

Not a house but a home – for orphaned children.  This is such a sad story but one you should read. Many years after the house closes, someone finds bones and so the police get involved………………….

The Forever Garden Rosanna LeyENGLAND _- The Forever Garden – Rosaana Ley

Lara has spent a lifetime trying to forget the traumatic events that led to her desperate escape from Dorset seventy years ago.

A house with hope and a wonderful garden! That is definitely worth a visit.
