Beach reads -Holiday reads – BookTrailLiterarySettings

Holiday season is well and truly upon us. Even if you can’t get down to the beach or are holidaying somewhere other than the coast, there’s nothing like the smell of salty air, fish and chips and the sound of the waves is there?

Take a literary holiday with one of these:

French Riviera

Meet me on the Riviera by Fliss Chester

If it’s a sunny destination you’re after then this is the book for you! The story starts in London and then we head to Monte Carlo where the level of glitz and glam is off the scale! You get to experience some wealth in this book, spend time on those posh yachts and boats you often see. It’s quite the experience!

Cornwall

The Path to the Sea – Liz Fenwick

A story set close to the beach and one which delves back in time and history. It’s the story of three women. Boskenna, the beautiful, imposing house standing on the Cornish cliffs, means something different to each of them. How the story unfolds and how the stories come together is really quite something and reading this on a beach and pretending you’re in Cornwall would be particularly nice.

Greece

You can’t go to a beach particularly in Greece and not think of Mandy Baggot. She is the Queen of beach reads set there. Grab the first sunny day you can and take one of hr novels to the coast. The beach is an escape for many of us, but in this novel it’s a complete change of life for Beth Lewis. She’s 31, divorced and so returns to Greece to reflect on her happy days spent there partying with friends. She hopes that by being back here,  things will soon start to make sense.

Vietnam

The Other Couple by Sarah Naughton

They meet another couple and think they can all enjoy the time together. However, even though this looks like paradise, there are dark clouds on the horizon….
