* Savio train station Savio is a small suburb in the city of Kerava 26 kilometers from Finland’s capital Helsinki. In the first chapter the novel’s main character Ida – 20 year old serial killer – murders her first victim in the novel (it’s not her first murder though) and flees the crime scene by train from Savio train station.
* Helsinki Central Library Oodi Oodi is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Helsinki. It situated in the city center. Novel’s other main character Clarissa – Ida’s therapist – meets her colleague Harri in Oodi.
* Kamppi Helsinki shopping mall Kamppi is Helsinki’s most popular mall because it’s situated in the middle of the city. In the novel Ida gets a panic attack there.
* Mannerheimintie Mannerheimintie (nickname: Mansku) is Helsinki’s main road. It is 5,5 kilometers long. Clarissa meets journalist Arto for an interview in a (fictional) cafe called Kahvihuone located in Mannerheimintie.
* Helsinki Central railway station Railway station was build in 1860’s. It was designed by one of Finland’s most famous architects Eliel Saarinen. Clarissa goes to the station to reminisce her patient Riku who committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train.
