Working with Julia Bradbury!

  • Submitted: 29th November 2017

Today is an exciting day!

TheBookTrail is working in partnership with the lovely Julia Bradbury and The Outdoor Guide to get people walking, visiting literary locations and more besides up and down the UK. BookTrails are often best done on foot and when you really want to see a place as the author has evoked it and allowed his characters to roam and explore, then why not see that place through their eyes?

We have a page on the TOG site! Very exciting – theoutdoorguide.co.uk/tog-friends/

Plus it keeps you fit and allows you to see a place that other forms of transport just won’t allow. Julia loves to walk and showcase this stunning British Isles so by popping a few books in your backpack (well, perhaps a kindle) who knows where your travels will take you?

The Outdoor Guide (TOG) is a resource set up by Julia Bradbury and sister Gina that aims to bring together information for walks all around the UK.

It is a showroom that puts companies with the same ethos together in one place to inspire families to get out and explore this wonderful world.

On TOG you will find fab walks, amazing gear and gadgets along with some recommended places to stay when out walking. And from now on, you can visit The Outdoor Guide to find some books in the places Julia goes walking and some good bookish pieces here to  discover even more on your travels!

“Julia Bradbury’s Outdoor Guide online resource is delighted that TheBookTrail have teamed up with The Outdoor Guide to inspire readers, travellers and walkers to seek out their favourite fictional locations around the country. A favourite of ours is Poldark by Winston Graham – the walk down at Botallack is absolutely stunning, you feel like you are in the book!”
