In Italy, there is someone they call the Mannequin Man. His passion is taxidermy and so he captures his prey and then spends time turning them in to mannequins for him to look at. the transformation takes time but this is not what satisfies him, but rather the kill.

Chief Inspector Giacomo Amaldi  takes on the case at a time when the city is already quite literally overflowing with rubbish as it is. There is a refuse collection strike and so the city is one big rubbish dump. The smell of filth and dirt is everywhere so a gruesome case as this one is not going to be easy.

Travel Guide

Well if the cover doesn’t totally freak you out the insides will. Urgh sorry that’s probably not the image you want in your head but it’s the one you will have when you read this.

Not for the faint hearted!

This is a novel of violence and decay, with gruesome events which take place over a few oppressive weeks in an unnamed Italian city that strongly evokes Genoa.
