Books You Need for Going Back to School
Back to School for Bookworms
Ah the cherubs have just returned to school. Most kids don’t want to go back and parents sigh and remember when they were going through ‘the happiest days of their life’.
So, with this in mind, why not enrol in one or two of the schools below…..(cue evil laugh)

No exact university mentioned but this novel looks at the setting of the halls and dorms and you get a real sense of what it’s like to go to university, what it feels like to make friends and find your way…

Boarding school
Anyone go to boarding school? Was there a school bully? In this story, the bully dies. But who has means and motive to do it?

A school with a resident ghost
Now, you’re talking! Add to that that this is a religious school and the ghost in question might be that of a nun and you are golden!
Legend has it that the ghost of fifteenth-century nun, Sister Matilda, will keep St Cordula’s safe. But if you scrub off what she wrote on the wall ‘GOD FORGIVE ME’, then something will befall the school.
Aaargh!

Women allowed to study at last!
Cambridge university has its own story to tell – brought to life brilliantly in the novel The Eights. For the first time in its 1000-year history, the world’s most famous university has admitted female students. Four young women move into neighbouring rooms on Corridor Eight, poised for adventure and possibility….

School where the headmaster meets a grim end
A dismembered body of a headmaster is found on the derelict site of a former school in Sheffield.
And then there’s everyone’s favourite school memory: the reunion!
Going back to school years later
