Broadfoot’s Stirling set crime series comes to an end

  • Submitted: 15th May 2025

Neil Broadfoot and Connor Fraser

There’s a crime author out there that you really need to get on your TBR piles right now if you haven’t already. Neil Broadfoot writes two series of gritty, raw crime novels:

Connor Fraser – A series of 7 books about close protection expert Connor Fraser set largely in Stirling

McGregor and Drummond thrillers –  set in Edinburgh

Two series to choose from (for now….)

Falling Fast – which was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize and the Bloody Scotland book of the year – is the first in the Edinburgh-set McGregor and Drummond thrillers.

No Man's Land Neil Broadfoot

So why should you read Connor Fraser?

The Connor Fraser, Stirling-set series, which begins with No Man’s Land and features close protection expert Connor Fraser, has been hailed as “atmospheric, twisty and explosive” with a “complex cast of characters and a compelling hero”.

No Man’s Land was also longlisted for the McIlvanney Award.

Now, let’s focus on the Connor Fraser books for a moment. Book SEVEN – Exit Wounds is out on May 29 and wraps up a series that has seen poor Connor put through the wringer more than once.

A quick guide to the series:
