A Bookworm travels to meet Ann Cleeves

  • Submitted: 17th September 2017

It takes a special book fan who travels far and wide to see her favourite author. One such  bookworm is Donna McIntosh-Webster who won the BookTrail prize of Ann Cleeves novel The Seagull and then got to travel down to Whitely Bay to meet the great lady herself..

Donna reported on the evening and said it was fun, laughter and brilliant to have beer especially made for the book and the evening. Brewed in the North East , not only is the book set in the North East, so too is the beer! So, take a tip from Donna and see just how good the two go together…

So, the evidence….

Then Donna headed over to see the lovely Ann Cleeves AND gets a giant North East hug. Not sure why the floating head behind Ann is not looking at the star of the show mind ;). But the mouths on the picture behind are open in awe…

Donna then grabs the star of the show and gets a very proud picture indeed. Nice to see she’s got the hardback in shot!

Thanks for the excellent reportage Donna. Nice to see a booktrail book fan eager to join in with all the fun of the evening and to taste both book and beer!  @DonnaLouiseWeb2

And if that wasn’t all, she’s only gone and made a lovely Vera inspired postcard of the North East locations!!! This girl is an honorary BookTrailer if ever there was one
