Review

Oh witches on the Yorkshire Moors…the atmosphere was there from the start. I was a bit nervous stepping into the world that this novel created to be fair. Post-apocalyptic Britain is scary! I could hear the forests almost talking and the trees whispering.

The troubling thing about the witches here is that they don’t seem to be actual witches? They are, well, I’m not sure what they were. Creatures, shape shifters or well I’m not sure. I wanted to know more about them but then because they were so vague, they seemed even more scary.

There were some really dark and gory moments. An abandoned house surrounded with Pagan wards. A strange girl in the garden…

I didn’t care much for the ending if I am honest but getting there was great fun.
