The BookTrail Travel 2018 Awards

  • Submitted: 1st December 2018

2018 was a great year for literary travel with the Literary Travel Agency. Where did you travel via a book? Which author took you to the most memorable setting? What books should be in The BookTrail Travel 2018 Awards?

December on the BookTrail is a look back at the best journeys of 2018. Book with the best stories, the best plots, the most interesting characters and even the best book covers. The best travel possibilities…

The BookTrail Travel 2018 Awards

I’ve also awarded a few stars to some very special reads for their quirky factor . Some books stick in your mind for very unusual reasons and I am going to celebrate them and mark them out!

So, the best of 2018 and the BookTrail Travel Awards are on their way…..watch this space

PLUS a very special competition…

There will be chestnuts, a roaring fire and books set in the snow. There are books set at Christmas of course, but let’s not forget in some countries, it’s hot this time of year so books set in the sun are important. Those of us who live in cold climates often crave the sun. You get whatever you want for the price of a book!

Christmas is also the time, I like to remember the classics and the books I enjoyed when I was younger. I still read children’s books regularly in order to feed the child within.

Christmas is also about family and the people you love. For bookworms, it’s about their book family – all of those friends sitting on their shelves waiting to be read, and the new ones sitting in a TBR pile…..like a bookish Christmas tree. Fellow book bloggers provide the best festive cheer.

Don’t forget the bookfairies – the librarians, booksellers and the bookfairies themselves. People who give the gift of books are the best people of all!

Merry Christmas!
