Oh the festival of all festivals will soon be upon us. Two more sleeps! What Scottish shenanigans are about to be unleashed? Only time will tell, but for now, let’s celebrate all that is Scottish in the book world….
You really need to take a look at the programme for any last minute festival goers out there. But this post is to remind you of how to get the best out of this amazing festival.

Wear sensible shoes. Stirling is very hilly and has cobbled streets in some parts so you will need sensible shoes as some of the events are in the Golden Lion hotel at the bottom of the hill and other events are at the middle or top of the hill.

There is a great onsite Bookshop at the festival but be sure to head to the Waterstones in town too – AND The Works for 3 novels for £7.50 deals ( selection might not include festival authors but you never know!)
Bring an umbrella and sunglasses. Well, it is Scotland!
Go on the walking tour of Stirling to see some historical sites from days gone by – where famous people died and where dodgy things took place! Fascinating tour. Highly recommended!
