Love a good police procedural but this one is special. Second in a series but also a standalone. Reporter Freya is a great lead character as I was really rooting for her. I wanted to hug her at times but always wanted to cheer her on. The setting of Orkney is brilliant for this rich and atmospheric novel. It gives vibes of a good deep seated mystery with a fresh edge. I am HERE for both
