Now, if you’re thinking this shop should be in Paris – there is a shop of the same name in the French capital but there is no link between the two. They have the same name and the same philosophy as the one in Paris but they are very separate stores.

Their slogan? We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too.
Guy Perlaki is the owner of the store and has been for the page 16 or so years. The shop itself was founded 35 years ago by Guy’s former boss. She had been inspired by her travels to Paris and the legendary bookshop with the same name so there’s the link!

It was a real treat to spend time here, chatting to the lovely booksellers and wishing I lived in this store. A book and two tote bags later, I was sad to leave.
