Book two so please read book one first as this is the next stage in the story and you get to discover more of the fairies and their fairy world here.

Emily keeps a diary and what a diary it is! Full of adventure and mystical goings on. She’s keeping a log of all her adventures and notes on fairy folk. Being an academic, she is keen to find as much out about them and log the evidence as it were as she can. Emily has made tenure, and published her Encyclopaedia and not everyone is happy for her. She gets into bother as she then sets out in search of a magic fairy door which will take her into another world…

We head to Austria in search of a very very important door. It was such a joy to read from start to finish. A great set of characters and the scene setting is quite literally out of this world. It must be such fun to be inside this author’s head. The details were sharp, the lights twinkling and something lurking in the shadows.

Oh I wish there was a series of films based on this trilogy.
