Sunday might be the last day of the festival but you know what they say – keep the best till last! Everything comes to those who wait pet as Vera would say. And quite aptly as she’s putting on her green mac and floppy hat to join the crime festival

Wonder what she’ll make of sitting in a row of seats that’s not a police appeal? Will she arrest anyone? Will sidekick DS Aiden manage to keep her and everyone else in check? Never fear, it’s really Brenda Blethyn and Kenny Doughty who are making an appearance and they’re much better behaved than their characters! Ann Cleeves will be there if there’s any trouble..

The Vera panel is at 10am. Late comers will have Vera’s withering remarks to deal with (probably)
