Set in the beautiful environs of the Norfolk Broads in 2010, and in London in the ’40s and ‘50s, when life for career-driven women was so different.
The author was inspired to write this book inspired by the experiences of her mother and aunt. identical twins, who studied Zoology at Imperial College London. They were both female scientists and they did some pioneering work so their stories have inspired the character of Nancy.
