What you need to know before your trail

24 years ago, Helena spent a magical holiday in Cyprus, where she fell in love for the first time. She was staying with her godfather int he house they called  ‘Pandora’. When the house is left to her in his will, she is nervous about returning.

For Pandora is in fact like a Pandora’s box which holds many deeply buried secrets.A box which once opened, will be impossible to close. Once the secrets are out, lives will change.

At the middle of this is a thirteen year old boy writing a diary, hoping to find out who his real father is.

Travel Guide

Pandora, Cyprus

The villa featured in the novel of course is fictional but is based on a real villa Lucinda and her family stayed in during a holiday. She sat on the terrace of that villa, watching her children run around, family friends come to stay and an idea for a story began to form.

Vienna

This is unique to Lucinda’s stories in that it is set in one house, one villa in a small Cyprus villa. There are visits, flashbacks to Vienna but the focus is on the villa and what goes on between the characters. Vienna is the world of Helena’s early life, the dancing and singing in the Opera house, the ornate Vienna streets and the adventure of a life time for one young girl.
