What you need to know before your trail

Mr Jeremiah Blake and Captain William Avery, recently returned from India, are invited by Viscount Allington to examine the particulars of a grisly pair of murders.

Two printers from the gutter presses have been brutally murdered in separate but very similar incidents.

Fearing the deaths will stoke the fires of Chartism sweeping the capital, Allington hopes Blake and Avery’s determination to uncover the truth will solve these crimes. However, there are others who not only want them to fail but are going to do their utmost to make sure that they do.

Travel Guide

Blake and Avery’s tour of London

Hanover Square

Starting with the rooms’s he taken in London only having just returned from India, there might be a cuppa going and something to eat but don’t count on it, the apartment is quite sparse.

The Strand

The first street in Europe according to Mr Disraeli. A major thoroughfare in London at the time as it is now.

“Blackwall Railway Terminus”

The railway was somewhere here. Down by the docks, it might not be a place you want to linger for long especially when you remember what goes on in the book. So best not linger for long. East India is where the East India company used to stand. Might get a cup of tea there at least.
