Travel Guide

The idea for the novel according to the author’s website came from a visit he had at Oahu when he went on a tour of a US military cemetery where bodies were buried at twelve and six feet, in the same hole, to save real estate. The way in which bodies were buried and how a mystery in a cemetery could work and bring so many issues to the fore seems to have been a major reason  for his Detective Lane novels. The sheer size and scope of the cemetery and park seem to be ideal for a mystery setting.

As you stroll  around Calgary and the sights for the booktrail, the story of tax evasion and murder seem not to fit – but that is what makes it so sinister for aren’t the most chilling and suspenseful reads set in beautiful locations?
