Lake Garda
The author attended a wedding on the shores of Lake Garda and it was being held at a castle. He was then inspired to write about a murder mystery at a wedding. Oh and he was planning his own, he admits in the book. Haha! Now THAT is a funny story.
There is no Castello Fiore but the author did visit a castle and there are a few that you can visit to imagine what the guests can see from the balconies. The lake and its scenery is so stunning that you would be forgiven if you got lost here and had to stop reading the book for a moment.
A lovely ode to the region and such an iconic setting!
