What you need to know before your trail

Liz and Jess have been friends for ten years, ever since they both started a family. But how well do they really know each other?

When Jess arrives at hospital with a story that doesn’t add up, Liz is the doctor on call.
Jess has devoted her life to family and home. But she is holding so many secrets.
As the truth begins to emerge, Liz is forced to question everything she thought she knew: about Jess, and about herself.

Travel Guide

Trauma set in a London hospital

None of the hospitals on the map are featured in the book (the one that is, is in West London and is fictional) It’s for good reason too as a woman comes in with a baby the doctors suspect has been abused in some way. The doctor on call knows the mother and baby well as they are neighbours.

What results is a complicated investigation into the likelihood of child abuse, the state of their marriages and the lies behind closed doors.

Difficult to read in parts given the investigation into child abuse.
