What you need to know before your trail

When Ana inherits a broken-down camper van from her best friend, she takes the chance for a quick trip to Cornwall – some sea air and fish and chips on the beach is just the tonic she needs.

But St Felix has bigger plans for Ana. She discovers a series of unsent postcards, dating back to the 1950s, hidden in the upholstery of the van. Ana knows that it’s a sign: she’ll make sure that the messages reach the person that they were meant for. And as the broken-down van is restored to gleaming health, so Ana begins to find her way back to happiness.

Booktrailer Review

Susan: @thebooktrailer

Well if this is not the book to read this summer on the beach, I don’t know what is! Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van – even the name conjures up lazy summer evenings with a book in one hand, flip flops on your feet and salt air whipping at your face.

Ana has inherited her rather dilapidated camper van and so heads to fictional St Felix to work on it and collect it. But the camper van is taking her into new territory and her new destinations proves to be much more than that. I love the idea of a cute camper van changing your mindset and luck in life and this book was a positive hug of a read. Light-hearted and easy to read with the sunshine emanating on to each and every page.

Ali McNamara is always the author to go to when you need cheering up – but don’t think this is all easy going. There’s always some deeper meaning to her books and challenges for the characters. Oh and those postcards from the 50s! What with the camper van and the postcards, that was enough for me even without the lovely story!
