Travel Guide

Welcome to St Malo BookTrail style

If you want to take a short visit to St Malo, then this would be the perfect book to do it. The woman in the book goes here to think about her life and ponder the problems she has. At the same time, she takes herself around the coastal town and there’s plenty of sightseeing over her shoulder!

St Malo

Saint-Malo is a port city in Brittany and is surrounded by tall granite walls as it used to be a stronghold for privateers (pirates approved by the king). There’s even the chance to see a pirate’s house  –  La Demeure de Corsaire, – which is an 18th-century privateer’s house and museum.

You can see history all around you, but for a particular view, you should go to the cathedral as the scenes in the stained-glass windows are something else.

Tall granite walls surround the old town, which was once a stronghold for privateers (pirates approved by the king). The Saint-Malo Cathedral, in the center of the old town, is built in Romanesque and Gothic styles and features stained-glass windows depicting city history. Nearby is La Demeure de Corsaire, an 18th-century privateer’s house and museum.
