2000s: Who wants to go on a real life mystery tour?
While Fanny takes care of the business end of Amy’s Travel in New York City, Amy is traipsing around Monte Carlo, managing their first mystery-themed excursion, a road rally in which guests compete to solve a fictional murder along the way. Clues quickly mount, the competition is lively, and just when the suspense is peaking, the writer they hired to script their made-up mystery is found murdered in his New York apartment. Suddenly, on top of running a new venture together, mother and daughter must solve a real-life case of foul play.
Mother and daughter own a travel agency which offers murder mystery tours! The only problem is that someone dies in New York and so the mystery gets rather more serious than it should!
New York
Both locations are nicely evoked. New York is big, flashy, noisy and crazy. It’s a big city where tours and events have taken place from a street close to Port Authority and the posh Guggenheim museum.
Monaco
The flashy appearance and luxury feel to the home of Formula 1 is all around. It’s hot, sexy and the place to be seen. You get a sense of the tracks, the atmosphere and the fast pace of life both in and out of the sport.
Destination: Monaco, New York City Author/Guide: Hy Conrad Departure Time: 2000s
