The Thunder Girls

Why a Booktrail?

1989, 2000s: What happens when a band reforms? Who wants it the most and why?

  • ISBN: 978-1529017434
  • Genre: Fiction

What you need to know before your trail

Chrissie, Roxanne, Carly and Anita, an eighties pop sensation outselling and out-classing their competition. Until it all comes to an abrupt end and three of their careers are over, and so is their friendship.

Thirty years later, their old record label wants the band back together for a huge money-making concert. But the wounds are deep and some need this gig more than others.

Travel Guide

Follow the Thunder Girls around London and the UK

There’s no real locations as such in the book but The Thunder Girls is clearly set in London and around the UK. There’s meetings at top record offices, wanders around vintage stalls in Spitalfields, a posh club in Shoreditch and this book is actually being made into a play so the West End will soon be a top location to REALLY see the book come alive!

The Nolans were a band who formed again after many years similar to these in the book (well not completely of course!) and the author credits singer Coleen Nolan with advice on what it was like to travel around the UK, appear in theatres etc.

Think theatre tours, behind the scenes dramas and Jackie Collins!
