The Snow Girls

Why a Booktrail?

2000s: A missing girl, a dying suspect

  • ISBN: 978-1405932530
  • Genre: Crime, Police Procedural

What you need to know before your trail

It’s been eleven years since Claire Flynn disappeared – abducted without trace from a snowy hillside, leaving her parents heartbroken.

Investigator Darby McCormick remembers the case. She knows there’s only ever been one suspect, Father Richard Byrne, linked inconclusively to two similar disappearances.

Finally, terminally ill, Byrne is willing to talk. But he’ll only talk to Darby.

She’s expecting a confession – but what she hears is far more disturbing.

And it soon becomes clear that someone is willing to kill to keep this cold case on ice…

Travel Guide

Belham, Boston Massachusetts

Belham which sounds like Bedlam for all the chaos and crime that goes on in the city, is a fictional setting. This is a city and police station where Darby is called back to investigate the case of a missing girl. The suspect of the time was a catholic priest and some of this story is inspired by the true and very dark case of pedophile priests in the church at that time.

This is he most violent and chaotic area in Boston. An area where even the security cameras on the police station are dented from the stones and rocks thrown at them. Not a nice neighbourhood by any means. One that haunts Darby as she returns for an emotional cold case.

Roby Park

Also fictional (as it’s in Belham). This is the park where the young girl goes missing from. It’s known as The Hill by locals and is the only place where you can get burger and fries for 2 dollars. A place where young people like to go and where nothing bad has happened until now.
