James and his family have lived and worked in and around the Lake District for generations. No office clock on the wall dividing their day, their routine is dictated by the seasons, the animals needs and the changes in nature.
And as for the sheep, the shepherds have to take them to market, protect them from the inclement weather, make the hay, ensure their pasture is the right kind and be there for the lambing season…there’s never a dull moment.
