Welcome to Iran or is it Persia?

At the start of the book the author clears up the Iran or Persia argument

Persia was the name give to Iran by the Ancient Greek several thousand years ago. Since that time , the West has used the term to describe the empire and the country”

People inside the country have alway referred to it as Iran”

Since 1953 and the Iranian revolution , everyone was asked to refer to this country as Iran only.

Persia now tends to refer to the cultural and culinary connotations of the country and Iran the political and more modern developments

The names are used interchangeably in the book
