Travel Guide

BookTrail Travel to Granada

This book takes place in the heart of the sixteenth century. This is a time of great political turmoil. The Muslims of  Andalusia are being persecute as are the Jews. The ruling Christian regime are out in force and are using violence to control people and retain their grip on society

In Granada, the seat of the regime, the  muslims fear the worst. Bishop Thiago and his military force, the Santa Hermandades are in control of the city and they rule with an iron fist.

Zaira gets caught up in the uprising…and this is her story. The setting however is a backdrop more than a character as many of the later chapters in particular take place in the Bishop’s house. The city of Granada however is there to showcase the city as it was, the religious persecution and the everyday fears of the man, woman and child on the streets.
