What you need to know before your trail

Never overstay your welcome…

Littleport, Maine is like two separate towns: a vacation paradise for wealthy holidaymakers and a simple harbour community for the residents who serve them. Friendships between locals and visitors are unheard of – but that’s just what happened with Avery Greer and Sadie Loman.

Each summer for a decade the girls are inseparable – until Sadie is found dead. When the police rule the death a suicide, Avery can’t help but feel there are those in the community, including a local detective and Sadie’s brother Parker, who blame her. Someone knows more than they’re saying, and Avery is intent on clearing her name before she’s branded a killer.

Travel Guide

BookTrail Travel to Maine

Littleport is a fictional town on the Maine coast. Just as well it’s not real as there are some odd people living here! There’s lots of pressure and deals going on behind the scenes in the property business. No -one likes an outsider here. People who try to buy a seafront property here? There are those who want just locals to stay here.

To say Littleport has a sense of claustrophobia about it, you;d be right. There’s a line which hints at the fact that ‘ the ties that bind, can also cut off the circulation’ or words to that effect.

The town is tight knit and claustrophobic. So when something is found on Breaker Beach which sets of the chain of events in the book, you’re not going to forget your visit here any time soon.
