For the newlyweds, the days slip by in a haze of boat rides, sun-bathing on the private beach, and cocktails beneath a star-studded sky. It’s paradise – until a note is slipped under their door, and everything unravels.
In black ink, the message is unmistakable: He’s lying to you. Suddenly, Clara questions everything. Why does Spencer seem so familiar with their hotel? Why does she have the feeling she’s being watched?

The locations in the novel are either vague or fictional – ie inside the fictional hotel – yet Positano is where the action takes place and the wider Amalfi coast.
The hotel and private beach sound amazing but you could stay near the beach on the map and imagine you are in the honeymoon suite! The couple spend a lot of time sunbathing so a good place to read the book!
Clara likes to wander around the winding, narrow streets of Positano – good to do, but Clara starts to think she is being followed….
There are also ‘scenes’ featuring boat rides along the coast and descriptions of jagged cliffs. Take care out there!
