It was supposed to be the perfect holiday, dreamed up by Kate as the ideal way to turn 40: four best friends and their husbands and children in a luxurious villa under the blazing sunshine of Languedoc-Roussillon.
But there is trouble in paradise. Kate suspects that her husband is having an affair, and that the other woman is one of her best friends.
One of these women is willing to sacrifice years of friendship and destroy her family. But which one? As Kate closes in on the truth in the stifling Mediterranean heat, she realises too late that the stakes are far higher than she ever imagined.
Because someone in the villa is prepared to kill to keep their secret hidden.

Travel on holiday with TM Logan to Beziers, in the Languedoc!
A perfect setting for a holiday and a novel of that very title:
Through the outskirts of Beziers and deeper into the Langeudoc. Vineyards heavy with fruit lined the road on both sides, ranks of low green vines marching off into the distance under a deep blue Mediterranean sky.”
Then there’s the villa where they stay – the fictional Villa Corbieres – which is nestled into the hills above Autignac just north of Beziers. The journey there is stunning:
“Sleepy villages of narrow streets and ancient stone, ole men sitting impassively in the shade watching us pass by”
The villa itself:
” Three wide storeys of whitewashed stone and terracotta tiles, broad stone steps leading up to a double front door in dark, studded oak.”
“Inside it was all white marble and smooth stone walls, one exquisitely furnished room after another, full of light and beautifully decorated with discreet abstract painting here ad there. It was also deliciously cool.”
But a perfect setting doesn’t mean a perfect holiday in a thriller does it? Deliciously gripping! Definitely trouble in paradise!
