Travel Guide

Ten scenes of preparing for the Vietnam New Year with a charming group of embroidered, fuzzy felt mice makes for some stunning scenes for adults and children alike. Just what does go on during the Vietnam new year?

The mice plan a party and dressed in traditional costume lead you through scenes of preparation and planning. Two goes to the market – A vietnamese market with the chickens in baskets, cherry trees, exotic looking plants..

This book was inspired by the author Cynthia Well’s journey to village of Quat Dong in Vietnam where she was working for a relief agency in Hanoi. The embroideries created in the village are those incorporated into the book so to read and story and sense the inspiration behind them is a joy and a real insight into the culture of a small village.
