What you need to know before your trail

If you’d had word of a planned attack then the small British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar is perhaps not the best place to launch it or protect against it. Too many people for one, blind alleys, small and twisting streets.

But if you work for ‘The Firm; and you get the call – you go, no questions asked. An attack is said to be imminent. So he’s called into HQ and told what he must do. ‘ To go to Gibraltar and do what is necessary to thwart an attack. There must be no talking, no asking questions and no chance of failure.

Travel Guide

Want a trip to the place they call the Rock!? With someone who works for the firm MI6?

The Rock is a unusual setting for a thriller as well, you wouldn’t think there were many places to hide on what is essentially an island. And how do you follow someone without being seen? Allow Andy McNab to show you. Not only does he take you there on 11.36 am onFriday 4th March 2016 ( Even the book is ahead of its time) and you’re on Gibraltar by Sunday a t9.26am sitting in the main street waiting to catch your target. Talk about fast action and the sense of foreboding hanging over you.

There is tension in the air, thinking that you’re being watched and realising that you probably are. Who are you watching? This book  makes you feel like you’re right beside K as he is called. So when he says They have suitcases. They were coming towards us’ you can feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.

The fact the Guards parade is going to take place diverting every one’s attention and making it so much harder to thwart what could be a far reaching and very deadly attack just ramps up the tension. And all of this on the place they call ‘ The Rock’

Booktrailer Review

Susan @thebooktrailer

Andy McNab you are a star. This was like a bullet. A rip roaring ride to ‘the rock’ and the fear, risk ,heightened tension and sheer exhilaration you mixed into every world. There’s something about Gibraltar – the island setting, the almost ‘ locked room’ type of mystery and the threat of islamic terrorism. All in only 88 pages but what a journey! This would be a good start to reading more of Andy’s books and I’m sure if you haven’t read them, this book will make you want to.  This is just your starter of your literary meal.
