Leave Moominvalley? Is it possible? Yes, even the Moomin family need a change of scenery sometimes, so they’re off to live in a lighthouse on a tiny island. Here they find space to grow, and to do things they couldn’t in their comfortable, cluttered valley home. As they discover their new home, the family also discover surprising, and wonderfully funny, new things about themselves.

So, where is Moomin Valley?
Sadly fictional but clearly somewhere in Finland. The Moomins do like to live in Moomin Valley and not have humans visit so no where is really sure where Moomin Valley is. Moonmin World is the place you can go to that’s very close to the real thing (reliable information from a Moomin)
Who are the Moomins?
They are a family of white, round fairy tale characters with large snouts that make them look a bit like hippopotamuses. They live in their house in Moominvalley, though in the past, the’ve live in a few places such as a lighthouse and a theatre. They’re one of the most sociable and adventurous families around!
There are a few places where you can go to feel close to the Moomins – and you may even see one if you’re lucky. Although they are very shy around humans.
Moominworld
Moomin World is a theme park based on the Moomin books, located on the island of Kailo next to the old town of Naantali, in Southwest Finland.
Tampere Art Museum
There’s a series of cafes and shops, at airports and in towns and cities, so you can always eat and shop with things connected to Moomins.
