What you need to know before your trail

Madeleine might live in Paris, a beautiful city and work in a restaurant but al is not what it seems. It’s her uncle’s horrible restaurant and she’s forced to work there. Oh and it’s called the Squealing Pig.

One day she comes across an amazing shop ran by Madame Pamplemousse. For this is no ordinary shop – it’s full of weird and wonderful things that she’s never seen before.

The edibles in this store are out of this world! There’s Pterodactyl Bacon, Scorpion Tails in Smoked Garlic Oil, and Great Squid Tentacle in Jasmine-Scented Jelly.

Madeleine not surprisingly wants to be friends with Madame Pamplemousse She also gets to know  her cat  – called Camembert!

Imagine all the recipes they can create together! (Maybe not the cat but you never know)

Travel Guide

“In the city of Paris, on the banks of the river, tucked away from the main street down a narrow, winding alley there is a shop. A small shabby looking shop with faded paintwork, a dusty awning and dark smoky windows.

the sign above the door reads ‘Edibles’ , as it is a god shop selling all kinds of rare and exotic delicacies”

For places to eat in the city of Paris:

One of the  highest points in Paris  –  Eiffel Tower

A roof terrace (but mind the pigeons) – Printemps

A world of books (good enough to devour!)  – Shakespeareandcompany.com This store is located amonst the cobbled streets of Paris just beside the river and we think this is where Madame P’s shop would be!

Frogburger! ( they’re not really!) 18 Rue Saint-Séverin, 75005 Paris, France
