What you need to know before your trail

The fifth and final novel in the Fogas Chronicles where the villagers have a battle on their hands to save their little mountain community in the French Pyrenees.

They’ve been through a lot and if you’ve read the previous four books you’ll know how and why. This time tragedy strikes and the political battles step up a notch with a struggle for the town hall. The level that political ambition will rise to is just getting higher and higher and rising to more dangerous levels. There is a lot at stake here too and not just the future of the town but that of the people who live there and their friendships.

Is this really the end of Fogas?

Travel Guide

If you have ever wanted to get away from it all and spend time in the glorious French mountains, meet some interesting quirky French people and really immerse yourself in local village life then you will definitely want to visit Fogas if you haven’t done already.

Fogas – how can we describe it? Unique, a place full of interesting characters and even more interesting goings on. Life is never dull here that’s for sure. Those who live here are proud of their little village, nestled in the Pyrenees mountains, a mountainous place with spectacular views  – that’s if you can manage to keep your eyes off the colourful goings on. French rural life at its best!

But tragedy strikes early on this time and the fight is on to save their village and one of its most enduring characters is involved with how this all pans out. It’s this tragedy which unites everyone, those in the auberge, the shop, the community and the town hall to come together and ensure that Fogas is not forgotten.

Every inhabitant however seems to have their own problems and issues to deal with –  Paul and Lorna at the auberge seem to be busier than ever for example, Josette has an intriguing mystery of her own and Veronique gets into a dark situation…

And then there’s the mayor…

So vivid, so French you can smell the freshly baked baguettes mingled with the crisp mountain air.
