Travel Guide

Set in Lake Eden or Eden Lake according to the name in the book and on the map, this is a cozy setting for a cosy series of murder mysteries. The real charm of these books is the Cookie Jar cafe and the real flavour of the book comes from the smells and aromas that just drift off the page. In this installment we are fed Key Lime Pie and for that we are truly grateful.

Despite it being a calm and quiet place, well in some regards, since it is in such a remote and picturesque area, Lake Eden is of course  a small town Minnesota town and a place with the most amazing bakery ever.

Hannah loves to cook and  her cat Moishe is a ball of orange fuzzball that we just wanted to meet. A bit indecisive where men are concerned, we loved the character of her mum who was obsessed with the regency period.

Its her cafe we want to be in, eating all the stock we would imagine and serving the customers, getting up to speed on al the gossip whilst she goes around the solves the crimes.
Best to read in order to get the full flavour of the place and the characters. (sorry we had to)
