What you need to know before your trail

Emily Castles has found herself out of work again at the grand old age of 26. She perks up however when she receives an invitation to help out at a conference in London. A famous romance author Morgana Blakely offers her the chance and Emily jumps at it. Another invite is sent out to Winnie Kraster, an American blogger but she is to receive a rather less warm welcome!

There’s some funny sorts at this conference and the list of suspects for what happens next is long.

Travel Guide

Oh what a wonderful place a romantic author’s conference sounds. A lovely hotel in the centre of London  – the fictional Coram hotel – with chocolates in the gift bags. The range and variety of guests at this writing conference are interesting. A bunch of characters meant to be at a literary conference where fact and fiction mix! Zena, one of the speakers at the conference has a subject of how people of mixed race or colour are depicted in novels with the rather catchy title of ‘What am I? A Piece of Wood?’. This is a world of wit, bloggers, books and bookish things so it’s a lovely place to be. Never mind that some people aren’t quite so keen to have bloggers there…what!!?? no need to murder  them 😉

The poor hotel manager, Nic, wants to impress so the whole event is one he is careful to control as best he can. The bloggers there have had to compose a short piece of a romantic setting in order to win the chance to attend which sounds like a great activity and the fact that the author tells us the hotel was inspired by the Hotel russell in Russell Square – minus the murderous events of course) sounds like an ideal place to relax and read this book.

Book reviewers, book bloggers and book people of all descriptions should read this behind the scenes skit of a conference where romance and rampant crime go hand in hand.
