What you need to know before your trail

This is a treat. Illustrated stories for children really but also great for adults who just need a little more clarification of the stories and their meaning. Read this as an adult and learn even more about the stories you read at school.

It contains “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Hamlet”, “Macbeth”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Tempest” and “Twelfth Night”. It includes a section at the back on the life and times of William Shakespeare. It comes now in a luxurious cloth-bound edition, making it a gift to treasure.

Travel Guide

London – Shakespeare Style

Travel to the theatre where many of these plays are performed. It’s quite a thrill just to stand outside and see the theatre imagining that you are back in Shakespeare’s Day.

Stratford upon Avon

Any Shakespeare fan has to visit the town where he lived and worked. Many of the houses here are exactly like how they would have looked in Shakespeare’s Day  and as you wander around you can really sense Shakespeare’s legacy in many ways. His house where he was born is a fascinating museum with many things children can easily understand. Just standing in the rooms and looking out the windows, with the creaky wooden floorboards beneath gives you quite a sense of how old and special this house is.

Also in Stratford is his wife’s house – Anne Hathaway – set in beautiful gardens with flowers as you would imagine it would have looked with its thatched roof, back when she lived here.
