Cabot Tower – Climb up here and you’ll spot many potential dates in one go. Granted they might well have disappeared by the time you make it down again. But at least you’ve have made an effort and widened your target

Park St – Sullivan’s Acting agency is located here and it’s quite a good street for spotting potential dates. Coffee shops to accidentally bump into people, pretend you’re a tourist and ask for directions and then there’s College Green for your date at the bottom of the street. A romantic picnic perhaps?

Clifton Suspension Bridge – For a date to take your breath away, and to recreate that scene in the Bridget Jones movie where her scarf is whipped off by the wind, take a drive over here!

Bristol is also a very popular location for film and TV fans – You may spot a Sherlock episode being filmed, or you could visit the cafe in Truly Madly Deeply (Goldney Hall) where Nina (Juliet Stevenson) meets Mark (Michael Maloney).
