What you need to know before your trail

She’s a murderer.

Everyone knows she killed Stuart Rees – why else would his dead body be found in her shed?
So now Tabitha is in prison, awaiting trial.

Coming back to the remote coastal village where she grew up was a mistake. She didn’t fit in then, and she doesn’t fit in now.

That day is such a blur, she can’t remember clearly what happened. There is something she is missing, something important… She only knows one thing. She is not capable of murder.

And the only one she can trust to help her out of this situation is herself.
So she must fight. Against the odds.

For her life.

Travel Guide

Okeham in Devon

Locations in this novel are not a strong point. Settings however such as prisons and court scenes are. It is set in a small seaside town in England although the real Oakham is in the midlands. There’s an Okehampton in Devon so both places are on the map.

This novel is about returning to where you are from and where you remember for various reasons. Tabitha Hardy returns to her childhood home of Okeham to renovate a property. She is a changed person now. When she attended school here, Stuart Rees was her maths teacher. Now, she is on remand for his murder.
