What you need to know before your trail

Following a brutal attack by her ex-boyfriend, Kate Priddy leaves London when her cousin, Corbin Dell, suggests a temporary apartment swap – so she moves from London to Boston.

However as soon as she gets there, she discovers that his next door neighbour, Audrey Marshall, who works in publishing has been murdered. Detective Roberta James comes to search Corbin’s apartment, and it becomes clear to both Audrey and the police that this apartment has little or no sign of Corbin or his personality. Then there’s the creepy, Alan Cherney who lives opposite and seems to have been obsessed with Audrey….

There’s a lot of things not adding up here….

Travel Guide

Boston

The link from the airport to downtown Boston is a mile long tunnel called the Sumner. It feels as if were built a hundred ears ago.  Kate Priddy has nee been to Boston before this trip and has never met her cousin but under that tunnel under boston harbour, she has her first panic attack state side.

Corbin’s flat is in Beacon Hill – 101 Bury Street . It’s something out of a Henry James novel apparently, with a Italian style courtyard

The apartment sounds very nice though –  a narrow lobby, a glass -encased four-lamp chandelier hung from the high celling. cream walls, and all with a visit with the Charles.

It’s in Beacon Hill where it all starts to unravel however.. in a flat where someone has been found murdered, in a flat whose owner the housesitter has never met, a flat which has no impressions or personality of the person who lives there. And that’s before you start looking at the neighbours.

Boston’s Beacon Hill is a nice area – and instead of looking for a weird flat, why not visit Cheers? Everyone will know your name there!
