Klagshamn and Malmo
The small Swedish town of Malmo and the seaside town of Klagshamn are the two locations in this novel. The book is character led however but the locations are there to give a sense of Scandi calm before the storm.
The remotish location of Klagsham is where the party is held and where the daughter goes missing. The bustle of Malmo is by contrast, busy and exciting and just far enough for a mother to have a desparate drive to a seaside town in search of the truth.
