What you need to know before your trail

Bart, Teddy and Cole have been best friends since childhood. Having founded their own small-town construction company, they yearn to build a legacy, something to leave behind to their families. So when Gretchen Connors, a mysterious millionaire lawyer from California, approaches them with a stunning, almost formidable project in the mountains above their town, the three friends convince themselves it’s the job which will secure their future.

But what is Gretchen hiding from them? And why does the build have to be complete by Christmas, a near-impossible deadline? With the lines between ambition and greed more slippery and dangerous than the three friends ever imagined, how far will they push themselves and what will be the cost of their dream?

Travel Guide

BookTrail it to to Jackson Hole

Jackson is a town in Wyoming’s Jackson Hole valley, and it’s home to three famous ski runs: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee Resort. The Town Square features arches made of shed antlers from the nearby National Elk Refuge.

This is an area of mountains and desert landscapes. There are so good lookout points around the area just like the ones the friends set up their business on. The landscape lends itself well to the issues of haves and havenots and the greed of outsiders and locals as depicted in the story.

“America is the greatest country in the world, his father always used to tell him, as long as you don’t run out of money.”
