What you need to know before your trail

The nude, lifeless body of Zelda Greenless is discovered with the rubbish  in her high-rise building. Inspector Walter McDumont discovers just what went on in Don Mills, and that this will be no ordinary death to solve.

Travel Guide

Don Mills is a popular residential area in Toronto with a nice Donalda Golf and Country Club, and beautiful Edwards Gardens within the Toronto Botanical Gardens

The Town Square has a nice water feature and a clock tower so it is a nice and popular place to live. Of course this novel doesn’t give it the good image you might expect but crime in paradise is almost always worse than elsewhere.

The Don Mills complex is not a nice place to be here – the alcohol and drugs and goodness knows what else
Even the streets of the city seem to be a hindrance to the solving of the crime –

“Where’s Gamble Avenue, Inspector?” “I think your best bet, Clary, is to turn around in the Don Mills Centre and go south on Don Mills to O’Connor Drive, turn right on O’Connor to Donlands Avenue, and it’s the third or fourth street down.” “Okay, Inspector. I got it.”

We know exactly where the characters are at any one time which makes for a read with a difference. You do think you are there but are pleased that you’re not.
