There is a poor washerwoman from the island of Martinique and who has only one thing to love – her goddaughter Cendrillon.
She realises that Cendrillon is heartsick over a rich man’s son, at first she doesn’t know what to do, but Cendrillon’s mother left her some gifts including a magic wand which gives the washerwoman an idea – to give Cendrillon the gift of life
This version of Cinderella is adapted from a traditional Creole story and tells the story against the backdrop of the beautiful Caribbean and the musical language of the islands
