Travel Guide

Montreal 1970

Montreal in 1970 was a city in turmoil. There was a killer dubbed the Vampire killer stalking the streets and at the same time, the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ), a separatist terrorist movement , has placed many bombs around the city at key landmarks such as the university and the stock exchange.

This is a city of great social unrest. Separatism was rife and those who wanted Quebec to leave Canada were forcing the issue like never before. This was not an issue which went away quickly and the effects were to last for a long time afterwards.

Imagine a city with a back drop as vividly evoked as this one, with danger in the air and fear around every street corner. A thriller with a mix of Canadian history to  add fuel to the fire.
