The Creggan Country Park is the main setting of the novel with the Creggan Estate and the surrounding area acting as the background of the novel rather than the focus of the story.
The woods in the country park however feature heavily as they are a crime scene and somewhere where local children have their den. the woods also are there to represent fear and a place where loneliness and sadness roams.
