A woman wakes up on her 30th birthday to the hangover from hell. Looking over to the pillow beside her, she sees a magician…..yes, a magician…..and then the realisation hits her: she’s 30, not 20 something. Should she really be doing this?
Her friends are as mad cap and as crazy as she is – one of them is an artist and she’s painted a wild picture of them all. There’s man-eater Cati, drama-queen lesbian Neus, and wild-haired, poet turned teacher Nil.
But one day she finds a love letter in a stranger’s bag and this becomes her mission – to find the true meaning of what that letter contains and to finally grow up – well at least in some ways

This book related festival gets a nice mention – on 23rd April each year, booksellers spill out on to the streets to sell books and gifts. People also sell roses – the men are supposed to buy them for their lady, and the lady in return buys a book for their man. Women get the raw deal in our humble opinion. How about buying a book and a rose for yourself? Now that’s the sign of a grown up!
